Amateur Guitar October 2, 2009 J. Kang 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Any Silvertone acoustic guitar is not worth the money. These guitars are low quality. When I play anything, it is hard to hear it since the sound of it is very deep and mellow. Also, the action on it was TERRIBLE. It was so hard to play a power chord in drop D on the 1st and 2nd frets. It left marks on your fingers since you needed so much force to press the strings down. Also, there was a lot of fret buzz on the 1st fret of the E and A string. Lastly, the guitar does not say in tune because the tuners were loose all time (even if I tightened them).
I would not recommend this to anyone. Trust me, you can get way, way better guitars for only $20 more.
Not a Les Paul, but OK acoustic guitar January 28, 2009 S. Douglas (Salt Lake City, UT USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Silvertone SD3000PAK Acoustic Guitar Pack with a natural finish Silvertone acoustic guitar has a set of generic strings, several (various thicknesses) picks, a Silvertone Stun2 acoustic OR electric guitar tuner and a generic strap. All are acceptable quality, especially the tuner, which is of a higher quality than I expected with the basic guitar pack. The Silvertone acoustic guitar looks and sounds excellant, a good buy for the $79.99 price tag. The playing action is high (hence the review title) but no worse than most acoustic guitars I've played. I do have one serious caveat on this guitar: The guitar I received has two frets (1st and 8th) that require they be filed down on the far side of the fretboard (where it is possible to injure a hand sliding the hand up and/or down). So examine the workmanship on this guitar carefully. Other than this, this guitar and guitar pack are certainly well worth the price paid.
Beatiful guitar! December 28, 2008 Patti J. Beard (Franklin, MA) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this guitar for a gift. It arrived quickly, in good shape. It's a plus that so many accessories are included. Great deal!
Great Guitar December 24, 2008 J. Holte (Minnesota) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This guitar is great for the price. It is very easy to play and sounds great. I researched several guitars under $100 and this one looked like the best one. It is working great, and I am very happy with the quality and tone of the guitar.
Quite Satisfied November 19, 2008 Q. Jackson (Seattle, Wa) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was very happy with my guitar and everything that came along with it. I would recommend a different tuner for anyone who doesn't quite understand how to use one. Otherwise you might break a string.
